-Bruce Iglauer’s Alligator Records story is now in book form, “Bitten By The Blues”.

-Chicago blues guitarist, Otis Rush, passed away at 84 on Saturday, September 27.

-Chris Strachwitz’s Arhoolie Records story is on display in the San Francisco airport.

-The Royal Esquire Club in Seattle’s Columbia City neighborhood opened in 1948, and in 2018 celebrates 70 years of bringing live music to Seattle! Find the Sea-Town All-Stars hosting the best Open Mic in Seattle there every Tuesday night!

Nov 18 - Washelli Cemetary, Seattle - Celebration of Life for Ronald Eddie Pierce, 3-7pm (photo above)  He was a woodwinds master, clarinet, sax, flute, spending his entire career living in Seattle.  He played with too many great names to list here over his 90 years.  A true friend to many, father to 6 children,2 adopted children and 3 grand children, he also ran the first teen club in Seattle, The Vault, when rock 'n roll was just emerging.
